Cairngorm Lodges being located on the edge of Scotland´s Cairngorm National Park can be a paradise for the wildlife enthusiasts or the casual observer. During a stay at Woodcutters cabin you have an opportunity to observe various species in their natural environment. Some of the more notable creatures that have been spotted in the local area include.

- Scottish wildcat
- Red Squirrels
Please note – many of the species in the area are endangered & protected by law therefore we ask that you observe the country code.
The Cairngorm's National Park is home to 25% of the UK's threatened bird, animal and plant species.
The local area is also rich in rare & unusual wild plant life.
