Cairngorm Lodges is a new development of five luxury, self catering, forest, pet friendly lodges each set in their own unique setting within a Scots Pine woodland. The forest lodges are generously spaced apart so that each lodge enjoys its own interaction with the local wildlife – your nearest neighbour is likely to be a red squirrel.

Cairngorm lodges can be used as a platform to explore the spectacular surrounding countryside of Deeside and Cairngorms area. The area is rich in its diversity of sporting and tourism activities. The area is noted for excellence in walking, cycling and fishing. Equally, the lodges are designed to support the activities of complete relaxation, unwinding and doing very little at all. The peace and tranquillity offered by the woodland setting contribute greatly towards such a pursuit.

Cairngorm lodges are located in the heart of Royal Deeside on the boundary of Cairngorms National Park at the foot of Morven (meaning big hill in Gaelic). The lodges are set within the outstanding woodland estate of Blelack and thus a step outside the door gives you access to the resources of a Scottish Highland Estate complete with its extensive forest trails, rivers and established walks. Children and pets may “free range” unabated and safely.

The luxury lodges are equipped to a high standard with the capacity to sleep 4 persons in 2 bedrooms (double and twin). Each has been individually designed by a local architect. All are equipped with a wood burning stove which functionally powers the central heating system, but equally provides an inviting and cosy environment.

The lodges are within a short walking distance of the village of Logie Coldstone close to the slightly larger village of Dinnet. Dinnet is located at midpoint between Aboyne and Ballater. Ballater made famous, obviously, by its association with the British Royal Family as far back as Victorian times. Ballater is the local town which services the nearby Balmoral Castle, the Royal family’s Scottish Home. Both Ballater and Aboyne are set in the heart of Castle country and boast numerous attractive restaurants and shops that aim to please visitors with a right, Royal welcome, as indeed we will greet you with at Cairngorm lodges.
