Our Story

Have you ever dreamed of staying in a cabin deep in the woods? If so then you will understand exactly why Cairngorm Lodges were built in 2012. Having lived and worked in the local area for generations we wanted to be able to welcome guests to share our special and unique part of Scotland. We all need to escape from time to time and where better than a forest hideaway on a Highland Estate - make it your own for a special break.

Eco-Friendly Lodges

We recognise that our lodges have a direct and indirect impact on our precious and stunning surroundings so we have done everything we can to reduce any harm to the environment and to wildlife.

Local Myths & Legends

The estate where our lodges are built can be traced to before 1500 and holds an interesting history of important Scottish figures. The estate was recently involved in an important archeological discovery where the fresh water wells, Poldhu Wells, are said to have healing properties.

The Cairngorms National Park at Deeside

Officially opened in 2003 the park is 3,800 km in size; that’s bigger than the Lake District and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The landscape is an unbeatable mix of rocky mountains, wild moorland and glistening lochs with Royal Deeside at the heart of it all.
